A crise das bienais há muito tempo é assunto de seminários e congressos esse mundo afora. O modelo serve para inserir a arte no seu contexto social? No ambiente em que atua? Por que a arte está mais isolada do que a música, a arquitetura, o design, a moda?
Anos atrás, o mesmo grupo de artistas que hoje articula Essa Poa é Boa ajudou a fundar a Bienal do Mercosul, pensando em algo diferente da Bienal de São Paulo: um encontro entre os artistas dos países vizinhos: Argentina, Uruguai, Paraguai, Chile, Brasil. Um encontro em que fizessem algo em conjunto, elaborassem obras, uns conhecendo as propostas, técnicas e articulações dos outros.
A Bienal tomou o rumo costumeiro, seguindo o modelo internacional, mas os artistas não esquecerem seu sonho e estão agora tentando realizá-lo nessa Poa é Boa.
Com parcos recursos, sendo o projeto auto-financiado com vendas de obras de arte dos artistas participantes, fora algumas ajudas materiais de lojas amigas, não foi possível convidar os colegas dos paises vizinhos. Mas articulou-se um diálogo entre grupos bem diferentes de várias gerações de artistas: 12 artistas foram escolhidos como âncoras e convidaram artistas de suas ligações afetivas e profissionais para ocuparem um dozeavo de espaço da antiga Fábrica da Renner no bairro Navegantes. Os 12 viraram 224 artistas, elaborando um conceito único para cada espaço, dentro de suas individualidades. Difícil, sim, muito! Pensar coletivamente precisa ser aprendido! Estamos aprendendo.
Essa Poa é Boa é um projeto bienal. No primeiro ano acontecem: a exposição em si e as oficinas para a comunidade do bairro. No segundo ano vem a construção das obras que ficam na comunidade, elaboradas durante as oficinas. É um projeto piloto, um projeto teste, não dá para saber direito qual será a receptividade, mas vale arriscar.
